Job summary

New-Life Mills is seeking a Farm Hand to join the farm team in Moorefield, ON. Shift is 7:00am to 3:00pm with every other weekend off in lieu of a weekday. Responsibilities include day-to-day farm operations, animal care, equipment monitoring, and general maintenance on the poultry farm.

The role requires some weekend and holiday work and on-call coverage. Prior farming experience and ability to operate tractors are assets for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in farming is an asset.
• Experience in operating tractors and other farming related equipment is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
• Ability to work some weekends and holidays and on call alarm coverage.

Responsibilities

• Farm operations including animal care and poultry husbandry.
• Record-keeping (monitoring of equipment, feeders, etc.).
• Mechanical, property and yard maintenance.
• Operating farm machinery including ventrac, tractor.

Your Team

We are seeking an Farm Hand to join our New-Life Mills Farm team. This role is responsible for responsible for day-to-day operations on the chicken farm.

Day to Day
