Job summary

Semex / Boviteq in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, is seeking an Animal Health Technician to support the health and development of bulls on site. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, in-person at our Saint-Hyacinthe location.

Responsibilities include entering animal data, handling animals during veterinary procedures, collaborating on diagnoses, and maintaining drug/material inventories. Requires College diploma in animal health technology and strong livestock care knowledge.

Qualifications

• Rigor and professionalism required.
• College diploma in animal health technology is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of livestock care and handling.
• Ability and experience operating farm equipment.
• Physically capable of handling cows and standing/walking for long periods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to follow Biosecurity protocols and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Enter animal data into files and computer programs.
• Handle, immobilize, and care for animals during veterinary manipulations.
• Collaborate in diagnosis by transmitting observed clinical signs.
• Maintain inventories of drugs and materials for animal health interventions.
