Job summary

Semex is seeking a Donor Care Specialist to join our Saint-Hyacinthe team. This in-person role reports to the Farm Manager and focuses on the well-being of animals and maintaining their environment, with a schedule including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities include feeding animals, keeping the yard clean, reporting abnormalities, and supporting veterinary activities. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Observation skills and problem solving.

• Manual dexterity and asset.
• Experience driving a farm tractor is an asset.
• Experience operating a Bobcat skid steer loader is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Feed the animals.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the yard.
• Report abnormalities, injuries, heat events, and observations.
• Support activities requiring the presence of a veterinarian or animal health technician.
• Unload hay and bedding and transport them to the appropriate locations.
• Carry out animal movements.
