Job summary

Semex is seeking an Animal Care Specialist to join the Housing Team in a full-time, day-shift role at the Kemptville location. You will perform semen collection, feed and care for bulls, and operate farm equipment while supporting seasonal crop work and barn maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a strong background in livestock care. A team-oriented mindset and good communication are essential.

About The Role

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist to join our Housing Team. Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor, the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties.

What You Need to Succeed

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Kemptville location offering a minimum starting salary of $21.00 per hour, with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
