Position Summary
Within the Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services Model, the protection of children and youth is a community responsibility. Indigenous communities have the right and responsibility to raise children according to traditional practices and participate fully in decisions regarding their children’s care. The Family Service Worker plays a key role in fostering positive outcomes for children, youth, and families involved in the child welfare system, emphasizing safety, resilience, and empowerment from a holistic and culturally respectful perspective. The role involves risk assessment, intervention, prevention, and supporting families to access resources, strengthening Indigenous families while honoring community strengths.

Availability Requirements
Office hours are 8 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for evening, weekend, and holiday work based on client needs.
