FOXVALLEY COUNSELING SERVICES INC. is seeking a Family Service Consultant for the Talking Circle Program in Regina to support elders, plan sessions, and coordinate activities with the TCP team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan meetings/sessions with elders
  • Maintain personal timesheets/vacation/sick days.
  • Facilitate and supervise cultural activities under the guidance of the TCP coordinator, executive director and elder.
  • Ensure the proper care and safety of the children.
  • De‑escalate situations and mediate during conflicts with families.
  • Respond to the emotional needs of families in crisis.
  • Document daily interactions.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment by following policies and procedures.
  • Provide transportation as needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety procedures.
  • Administration and Reporting: The TCP Family Service Consultant will report accurate and necessary information to ensure proper reporting and processes, these include:
  • Document incidents.
  • Daily shift documentation and overview.
  • Keep an accurate logbook of activities.
  • Attend staff meetings when required.
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by management.
  • Effective Communication.
  • Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Manage own workload and prioritize work.
  • Work unsupervised, recognizing one's own limitations and professional boundaries and seek appropriate assistance when needed.
  • Ability to work untraditional hours, may include statutory holidays.
