Job summary

Meadow Lake and Area Early Childhood Services Incorporated seeks an Early Childhood Consultant to work in a therapeutic home visiting program serving communities across North West Saskatchewan, including Ile-a-la-Crosse and surrounding areas.

The role supports families with children birth to 6 years who may have or develop disabilities, through regular home visits, information, resources and caregiver support.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate in Early Childhood or other related Diploma or Degree in Human Services field
• Willing to look at a combination of education and work experience
• Experience working with special needs children and their families is an asset
• Ability to work cooperatively with other agencies and professionals
• Valid driver's license
• Valid CRC with a Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

• Provide regular home visits to families with children birth to 6 years of age
• Offer information, resources, support, and opportunities to assist caregivers in meeting the needs of their child
• Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to support children's development and family goals
• Support positive outcomes for parents and children in the Early Childhood Intervention Program

By providing regular home visits, Consultants provide information, resources, support, and opportunities to assist caregivers in meeting the needs of their child.
