Job Description: Family Physician at Vancouver Coastal Health

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated family physician for the Raven Song Primary Care Clinic, offering a permanent position (Part Time or Full Time) with a clinical service contract.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct clinical services to patients, including assessments, supports, and substance use services such as opiate agonist treatment.
2. Collaborate within an inter-professional team to deliver patient-centered care, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
3. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team engagement activities.
4. Support education and training for students and residents.
5. Work a predictable weekday schedule with participation in an on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) license.
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) eligibility or certification.
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
• Eligibility for a faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, School of Medicine.
• Current Opiate Agonist Treatment prescriber exemption or willingness to obtain one.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in health promotion, prevention, and chronic disease management.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe care.
• Knowledge of LGBTQ2S healthcare, transgender care, and communicable diseases.
