Nakusp, BC is seeking a Family Physician to join a private clinic group and provide ED, LTC and inpatient services at Arrow Lake Hospital. The role includes on-call coverage on a 1:4 rotation, with strong collegial support and an excellent team (Social Worker, RN, Physiotherapist).

EMR is MedAccess and the hospital has a 24/7 ED with recent upgrades. This turn-key rural practice offers added incentives including RSA-based remuneration, relocation funding, and recruitment incentives.

Role and Facility Information

Nakusp is seeking one Family Physician for general rural practice. The successful candidate(s) will work with a private clinic group and provide ED/LTC/inpatient services at Arrow Lake Hospital. There is strong collegial support between physicians that allows for work/life balance. Physicians share after-hour coverage through an on-call schedule, working approximately 1:4 schedule. The call demands are very reasonable and it is rare to be called in after 10 p.m. The office is modern with an excellent, friendly staff, including a Social Worker, a Registered Nurse and a Physiotherapist. Our EMR is MedAccess. Our community 24/7 ED has recently had a $2M upgrade and is supported by funding from an excellent auxiliary. Public health, Long Term Care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mental health, laboratory, and diagnostic services are available in our hospital. We qualify for the Locums for Rural BC program. • Retention Premium 21.42%
• Retention Flat Fee $33,195
• Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - 15,000 based on move location
• Recruitment Incentive $20,000
