Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician with full scope skills to join a well established family medicine clinic and also provide Emergency Room coverage in Fort Nelson, BC. Fort Nelson General Hospital is a 22-bed integrated Acute Care and multi-level care facility.

Fort Nelson is the largest community in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality, with housing assistance available. Compensation is Fee-for-Service with an estimated remuneration of $350,000+; overhead is negotiable.

Role and Facility Information

Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician with full scope skills/experience to join a well established family medicine clinic and also provide Emergency Room coverage in Fort Nelson BC, a community of 3,400. Fort Nelson General Hospital is a 22 bed integrated Acute Care and multi-level care facility.

Housing assistance may be available from the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality.

Fort Nelson is located at Historical Mile 300 of the world-famous Alaska Highway, and is the largest community in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. The community has excellent year-round recreational facilities, indoor and outdoor.

• Vacation Leave Regular / negotiable May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 30.0% Retention Flat Fee $52,342 Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000 (TBD) Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives REEF (Rural Emergency Enhancement Funding) and MOCAP (Medical On Call Availability Program) available on top of MSP billings.
