University of Alberta seeks full-time instructors for the Alberta International School of Recreation, Sport and Tourism of Beijing Sport University (AIS) in Hainan, China. The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation will recruit for 2026/2027 to teach Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 courses.

Job description

This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

Location- This role is based out of the North Campus, Edmonton, and teaches directly at Alberta International School of Recreation, Sport and Tourism of Beijing Sport University (AIS) in Hainan Province, China.

The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (KSR) currently has 5 full-time sessional teaching vacancies for 2026/2027 at the Alberta International School of Recreation, Sport and Tourism of Beijing Sport University (AIS) in Hainan Province, China. The Faculty of KSR is looking for a number of full-time instructors to teach the following courses during the 2026/2027 School Year.

Term dates: Fall term starts in September with instruction completion prior to the University of Alberta Winter Closure. The Winter term (AIS refers to this as Spring term) begins in February. Exact term start dates TBD- dates vary each year due to holidays and other events.
