Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Factory Service Technician to estimate and complete repairs, identify parts, and support distributors and end users. You’ll process service orders and provide technical assistance in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a community college or trade school preferred.
• Compressor repair experience on equipment is an asset.
• Experience in a service environment is required; power tool repair is a plus.
• Effective communication and sales skills with public interaction.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to complete tasks quickly.
• Knowledge of cash registers and computers, especially MS Office, an asset.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and complete repairs, including identifying SKUs and parts needed.
• Process service work orders, logging, tracking, and follow-up.
• Provide over-the-counter repairs for DEWALT, STANLEY, CRAFTSMAN and other brands.
• Provide technical assistance to distributors, end users, and staff.
• Process customer requirements via POS and SAP/MGV systems.
• Verify warranty status using date codes and parts condition.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and assist with branch operations.
