Job summary

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. in Varennes, QC, is seeking a Factory IT/OT Specialist to provide onsite support for factory IT/OT assets, including office and shop floor equipment.

The role involves cybersecurity operations, patching, incident reporting, and collaboration with global cybersecurity teams and the factory process engineer. The candidate will work with vendors to maintain OT systems and ensure security patches are properly configured.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification or completed apprenticeship in information technology.
• Two years of professional IT support experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow IT Enterprise Platform, Microsoft Office 365, Windows and asset management tools.
• ITIL 4 and Lean Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide desk-side on-site support for factory IT/OT assets and shared collaboration areas.
• Perform IT/OT cybersecurity operational activities and first-response tasks.
• Identify critical factory assets to monitor and protect; report incidents to security teams.
• Install and configure security patches and coordinate with vendors and global teams.
