Brandt Developments Ltd. in Regina, SK, is seeking a Facility Service & Dispatch Manager to lead the Property Service Dispatch and Service teams, directing work for 140+ locations across Canada and the USA.

This office-based leadership role focuses on scheduling, vendor management, compliance, mentorship of apprentices, and ensuring tenant satisfaction while reporting to the Manager of Facilities.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson certification or trades background is an asset.
  • 5+ years in Construction, Facility or Service Trades with supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence and an acceptable driver abstract.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with tenants, staff, contractors, and regulators.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Facility Management software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the Property Service Dispatch team across 140+ locations in Canada and the USA.
  • Manage day-to-day Service Team operations and maintain facilities in Regina and area.
  • Collaborate with Facility Managers to ensure quality and fair costs from vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure adequate vendor coverage for required services at all locations.
  • Monitor repairs to avoid overspending and unnecessary work; report to Manager of Facilities.

Job description

Brandt Developments Ltd. is currently seeking a Facility Service & Dispatch Manager. to join the team in Regina, SK. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, the Service & Dispatch Manager oversees the Property Service Dispatch and Service teams, ensuring all owned and leased properties are well-maintained and meet the needs of tenants, with emphasis on Regina and area. This is an office-based leadership role focused on directing the Dispatch and Service teams, the work they schedule and the vendors they engage.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Oversee and support the Property Service Dispatch team who work closely with our Facility Managers that oversee 140+ locations across Canada and in the USA.
  • Manage the Service team's day-to-day operations to maintain facility equipment in Regina and area.
  • Collaborate with Facility Managers to ensure quality and fair costs from third party vendors and contractors.
  • Work with Facility Managers to ensure all locations have sufficient vendor coverage to meet the full spectrum of required services.
  • Monitor spending on repairs and maintenance ensuring we are not overspending or completing unnecessary work.
  • Oversee consistency of contracted service scopes of work with the FM and Purchasing teams.
  • Consult with internal teams to address tenant concerns and ensure tenant satisfaction.
  • Oversee the Service team's on-call rotation, acting as an after-hours escalation point when needed.
  • Provide trade mentorship and oversight to apprentices and support their development toward certification.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and approve Service Technician time entry.
  • Promote safe work practices and adherence to Brandt's safety program.
  • Regularly report to the Manager of Facilities on the status of property services, maintenance, and operational concerns.
  • Other duties as required.
What We Look For
  • Any Facility Management, Construction, Maintenance or Personnel Management training is considered an asset.
  • A Journeyperson certification or trades background in a service-related field is also an asset.
  • Five or more (5+) years in Construction, Facility or Service Trades, including supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's licence and an acceptable driver abstract in accordance with the Driver Policy (HR.1.1).
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, tenants, contractors and regulators.
  • Work effectively under pressure with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment and the ability to learn Facility Management software.
