Job summary

GardaWorld in Regina, Saskatchewan, is seeking a Facility Security Guard to provide premier visitor support, manage access, and perform regular patrols in a high-profile industrial environment.

You will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service to clients.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with basic phone and computer skills.
• Clean Saskatchewan driving license and abstract.
• Experience as security guard on a high-profile site is a plus.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, and provide guidance with top-tier customer service.
• Control access at entry/exit using electronic systems or checks for authorized entry.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to establish presence and identify risks.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems, escalate concerns as needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs of security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid when required, coordinate with emergency responders.
• Secure doors and enforce regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Document activities, incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports.
• Foster positive staff relationships and be the first contact during emergencies.

As a Facility Security Guard, there is a high focus on desk duties, Scheduled Patrolling and customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a High profile Industrial environment

Responsibilities For Facility Security Guard

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit points using electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Conduct Mobile Patrols
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assets against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationships and act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response

Qualifications For Facility Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• First aid certification an asset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Full Saskatchewan Driving license ( min past 12 months)
• Clear driving abstract ( past 12 months)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience as a Security guard in a high profile site (asset)
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Ability to pass and maintain client-required drug and alcohol testing.
