Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the facility on site. You will perform regular maintenance including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, drywall and plumbing repairs, interior wall work, and related duties, plus janitorial tasks on the mine site.

The role requires physical ability and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience required.
• Excellent English communication (oral and written).
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and long walking.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on the facility including lighting, carpentry, painting, drywall, minor plumbing, and tile repairs.
• Carry out custodian janitorial duties such as cleaning washrooms and lunch rooms on the mine site.
• Repair interior walls and install drywall for repair or replacement.
• Inspect facilities to detect malfunctions and perform required repairs.
• Ad‑hoc duties including window/door repairs and mounting curtain poles.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
