Job summary

ESFM Niverville Heritage Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily upkeep and smooth operation of the facility in Niverville, Manitoba. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, respond to repairs, and assist with facility safety and housekeeping to ensure a welcoming environment.

The role requires strong English communication, a valid driver's license, physical stamina for lifting and walking, and the ability to work independently or with a team while paying close attention

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written.
• Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility.
• Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as get along with others.
• Highly detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Aware of safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair.
• Repairing interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement.
• Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly.
• Ad-Hoc duties such as window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track, and fixture shelves.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

• Pay or shift range: $20 CAD to $27 CAD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
