Job summary

City of Kawartha Lakes seeks a part-time Facility Maintenance Operator II, Community Services (North) to support operation and maintenance of community centres and arenas, including ice resurfacing, cleaning and revenue collection.

The role offers up to 24 hours per week with day, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts from September to March; a Criminal Record Check is required, and applicants may be tested as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness to learn
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred
• Excellent customer-service and strong interpersonal skills to deal with public and staff
• First Aid and CPR preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver’s Licence
