Job summary

Kawartha Lakes is seeking a Facility Maintenance Operator II, Community Services to support operation and maintenance of local community centres and arenas in Lindsay. This part-time role provides up to 24 hours weekly, including days, afternoons and evenings, with wage in the $24.17–$26.14 CAD/hour range.

The position reports to the Recreation Complex Services Supervisor or Area Supervisor and is based at Lindsay Recreation Complex and/or Forbert Memorial Pool and Workout Centre.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness and ability to learn
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred
• Excellent customer-service, effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff
• First Aid and CPR preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required
