Facilities Technician: Keep a Premium Fitness Club Running

Job summary

Altea Active is seeking a Facilities Technician to help keep our premium fitness clubs in top condition across Canada. You will perform repairs, assist with preventative maintenance, and ensure the building reflects the Altea brand daily.

Open availability is required and you will work with the Senior Facilities Technician to maintain standards. You’ll need 1–3 years in a maintenance role, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to read As-Builts.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in building maintenance, facilities, or trades
• Hospitality/fitness/commercial environment experience is a plus
• General knowledge of building systems: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret as-builts, schematics, and O&M manuals
• Valid driver’s license; travel to sites for materials
• First Aid and CPR-C valid; background check required

Responsibilities

• Handle repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general building systems, diagnose and fix correctly
• Support preventative maintenance per PM program and log work
• Maintain building standards across HVAC, equipment, changerooms and common areas
• Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety, and building codes
• Document work, update work orders, and coordinate with Senior Facilities Technician
