Job summary

Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination, seeking a Facilities Lead to guide a small team in delivering a premium club environment. You will ensure spaces are spotless, organized, and consistently up to standard across all areas, including changerooms, floors, studios, and recovery zones.

• 2+ years of experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities cleaning role.

• Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Team on Shift to set and maintain standards.
• Own the Cleanliness Standard across changerooms, washrooms, floors, studios and common spaces.
• Manage Linen and Supplies including towels, SDS binder records, and chemical storage.
• Communicate and Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to the Club General Manager.

Cleanliness at Altea is part of the member experience. The Facilities Lead, leads a small team of Facilities Associates, sets the pace on the floor, and takes personal ownership of a facility that looks and feels exactly the way a premium club should.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the Team on Shift. You set the standard on the floor and your team follows. You assign tasks, check work, give feedback in the moment, and make sure no area slips on your shift.
• Own the Cleanliness Standard. Changerooms, washrooms, fitness floor, studios, recovery areas, and common spaces. You hold every area to the Altea standard and you address gaps before a member notices them.
• Manage Linen and Supplies. You track towel deliveries, monitor supply levels, maintain SDS binder records, and ensure chemicals are stored and labelled correctly.
• Communicate and Report. Maintenance issues, safety concerns, facility needs. You surface what needs attention and close the loop with the Club General Manager.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in a custodial, janitorial, or facilities cleaning role, premium environment is an asset
• Experience leading or directing a small team is an asset
• Strong working knowledge of cleaning methods, WHMIS, sanitation standards, and commercial equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and takes genuine ownership of the quality of the shift
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually
• Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement
