Job summary

Midtown Athletic Club is seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our Montreal, QC facilities. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair gym equipment and building systems, perform routine maintenance, and document issues in our ticketing system.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in facilities maintenance, practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in facilities maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
• Functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience with pool management is highly preferred.
• Able to identify and troubleshoot facility issues.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside business hours with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment.
• Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of club property.
• Maintain knowledge of facilities and follow preventive maintenance standards.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with urgency.
• Complete tickets in the ticketing system and report issues.
