Job summary

The University of Alberta's Department of Medicine is seeking a Facilities Support person to assist with space allocation, moves, equipment and key inventories, supporting 200+ faculty and 400+ staff at North Campus Edmonton. This in-person role provides essential services to the spaces at the heart of medical education and research.

The Department of Medicine is seeking a Facilities Support person who assists with activities such as space allocation, moves, equipment and key inventories, in support of the 200+ faculty members and 400+ staff. This role provides key support to the spaces and facilities at the heart of medical education and research in the Department of Medicine.

This role sits under the Department of Medicine Facilities Support Lead, and works closely with the Faculty Safety Advisor, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Office of Facility Planning & Projects, Office of the University Architect, Divisional Directors, Chair's office, Alberta Health Services [AHS], external contractors and suppliers.

The Department of Medicine is the largest department in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta with over 250 academic faculty members and over 400 trainees (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and residents).The Department of Medicine's core mission is to undertake outstanding education, research and high-quality clinical care to provide the best possible health outcomes for Albertans.
