Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Toronto is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support a region of restaurants through preventative maintenance, site assessments and repairs, ensuring world class food safety and guest experience.

You will manage preventative maintenance, cost-effective repairs, coordinate with vendors, track work orders, and support budget and capital improvement planning while upholding Chipotle standards across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school certificate preferred.
• Gas Fitter License 1 or 2 required.
• BES 1 & 2 certification preferred.
• EPA certification preferred and HVAC basics understood.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance site assessments on a quarterly basis.
• Complete reactionary service calls in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Partner with vendors to ensure work meets Chipotle standards.
• Conduct ownership classes to build equipment upkeep knowledge.
• Collaborate with leadership to align location goals and vision.
• Manage direct M&R budgets for assigned restaurants.
• Work with AFM/FM to identify capital improvement needs and obtain quotes.
• Source and organize truck stock for repairs.
• Manage work order requests and train restaurants on processes.
• Coordinate with Facility Support Team to ensure timely completion.
• Meet administrative deadlines for mileage, Pcards, inventories, and tru-ups.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Facilities Specialist, you will provide support to an assigned region of restaurants through Preventative Maintenance, Site Assessments and reactionary repairs helping deliver an environment of World Class Food Safety and an Excellent Guest Experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform Preventative Maintenance Site Assessments at each assigned restaurant every quarter
• Complete reactionary service calls in a timely cost-effective manner
• Partner with local and national vendors to ensure work completed is on par with Chipotle' standards
• Conduct sub-regional Ownership classes promoting confidence and increasing knowledge with equipment and facility upkeep.
• Collaborate with sub-regional leadership team to have unify purpose and vision inside our locations
• Manage direct M&R budget of assigned restaurants
• Work directly with AFM/FM to identify capital improvement needs. Get quotes for such items and after installation validate quality and workmanship
• Source, organize and maintain individual truck stock for needed repairs
• Manage Work Order requests to ensure all items are entered and closed out correctly, give Work Order training to restaurants when needed.
• Partner with Facility Support Team to ensure requests are assigned and completed in efficient manner
• Meet all administrative deadlines when it comes to mileage, Pcards, Inventories, and Tru-ups.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Trade school certificate preferred
• 0 – 1 year of relevant work experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report Required
• BES 1 & 2 Certification preferred
• Gas Fitter License 1or 2 required
• EPA certification preferred.
• Comfortable with basic HVAC maintenance-Changing Belts, filters and coil cleaning
• Mechanically inclined, must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to use ladders on a frequent basis. Overnight travel may be required.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations while be able to communicate in a professional and positive manner. Must be a problem solver.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Pay range is $51,000.00–$69,000.00 depending on skill level, experience and/or education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
