Atria Retirement Canada is hiring for a Porter/maintenance role in Alberta. You’ll perform cleaning, floor care, grounds maintenance, and basic maintenance tasks in a supportive senior living community setting.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable schedules to meet residents’ needs and uphold high standards of cleanliness. Candidates should be able to read safety instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and follow training.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using two-digit numbers and US currency/units.
• Able to work with standardized situations with occasional variables.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services for offices, apartments, interior and exterior public and common areas and amenities in a safe, neat condition.
• Provide floor care for carpet, tile and wood floors; vacuum, extract, buff, seal, strip as needed.
• Maintain grounds including sidewalks,walkways and exterior spaces; trim shrubbery and garden areas.
• Perform basic maintenance related work requests and report safety concerns promptly.
• Operate and use basic maintenance tools and light power tools with care and safety.
