Job summary

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) seeks an accomplished leader to serve as Manager of Facilities Operations, Maintenance & Capital Projects. Reporting to the CFO/COO, this role oversees facilities, asset management, and capital projects across the board’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or related discipline.
• Seven+ years of leadership in facilities management, construction, maintenance, or asset management.
• Experience leading large multi-site teams in complex or unionized environments.
• Experience managing operating and capital budgets.
• Knowledge of building operations, maintenance, procurement, and asset management.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation.
• Vulnerable Sector Screening passed.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and strategic direction for facilities operations and services.
• Develop and implement long-term asset management and capital investment plans.
• Advise senior leadership on facilities risks and capital needs.
• Direct custodial, maintenance, environmental, energy management services.
• Ensure facilities are safe, accessible, and maintained to high standards.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
