Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Vehicle Logistic Center in top shape in Airdrie, AB. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, inspect equipment, and coordinate subcontractors when needed.

Groundsskeeping and basic custodial duties are part of the role, with a focus on safety and cleanliness. You are organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative, with at least 3 years of facilities maintenance experience and a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a facilities maintenance/management role.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers’ license is required.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Skilled/experienced in operating snowplows, Bobcats and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for VLC equipment and facilities.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or needed maintenance.
• Coordinate subcontractors for maintenance and repair work as needed.
• Groundskeeping and custodial duties to maintain exterior appearance.
• Monitor inventories and coordinate urgent service requests to minimize downtime.
• Snow removal and de-icing of lots, driveways, and evacuation paths.
