Job summary

Colliers in Canada seeks a Building Operator to deliver tenant service and operate complex building systems. You’ll monitor HVAC, water treatment, and electrical equipment, respond to requests, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safe, reliable operations.

With 1–3 years in a commercial real estate environment and a 5th/4th Class Power Engineering Certification (BES I & II or equivalent), you’ll thrive on preventive maintenance and on‑call responsibilities while maintaining air quality and

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a commercial real estate environment.
• Certification in power engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility for on‑call shifts and varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain building automation and HVAC systems.
• Start and regulate rooftop units and heating equipment.
• Monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain indoor air quality and safety standards.
• Respond to tenant service requests and coordinate with contractors.
