Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Snow removal (airside and groundside) using equipment such as shovels, sweepers, tractors, spreaders, skid loaders, and compact tractors
- Lawn maintenance, landscaping, and groundskeeping
- Daily janitorial services and duties
- Maintaining organized documentation, parts, tools, and safety equipment
- Assisting with security key card issuance, return, and maintenance
- Performing routine building maintenance, property inspections, repairs, and services
- Minor maintenance tasks including painting and furniture moving
- Signing in/out and escorting contractors per security policies
- Addressing findings from inspections and ensuring safety compliance
- Participating in scheduling and coordinating annual facility inspections
- Supporting safety and security audits
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of employment experience
- Valid G driver’s license
- Ability to pass Police Background Check for Airport Restricted Area ID
- Experience operating light and medium equipment
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, tiling, HVAC systems is preferred
- Experience with hand and electric tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible working hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends
- On-call availability from April to October
- Commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (snow, ice, freezing rain, hail, sub-zero temperatures)
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical college or post-secondary education is an asset
