Job summary

Medcan Health Management Inc. is seeking a part-time Facilities Attendant for the Oakville clinic at 2275 Upper Middle Road East. The role focuses on cleaning, organizing and stocking the clinic lounges and work areas, with duties assigned by the Manager, Client Services.

The ideal candidate has customer service training, strong communication, and a detail-oriented approach. Availability for all shifts between 6:00am and 6:30pm is required; prior hotel housekeeping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all clinic areas.
• Set up and manage breakfast, lunch and snacks in clinic lounges.
• Stock and inventory for clinic lounges.
• Assist nurses in restocking clinic rooms throughout the day.
• Respond to client requests and report maintenance deficiencies.
• Sterilize equipment and medical supplies; dispose of clinic waste.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service.

This job is for a current vacancy. Medcan is recruiting for a Facilities Attendant to join our client-focused Facilities Team. We are looking for a well-spoken individual with exceptional client service skills and a great attitude. The role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of all clinic areas including locker rooms, lounges, offices and examination rooms. The successful candidate will be assigned duties as directed by the Manager, Client Services. This is a part‑time position and must be available for all shifts as assigned. The ideal candidate has some housekeeping, light food and beverage experience with an appreciation for attention to detail. This position is stationed at Medcan's Oakville location at 2275 Upper Middle Road East, Oakville.

What You'll Do

• General maintenance of all areas of the clinic
• Housekeeping opening and closing procedures
• Setting up and managing breakfast, lunch and snacks in clinic lounges
• Stocking and inventory for the clinic lounges
• Maintenance of restrooms and locker rooms
• Inventory and order placement for daily breakfast, lunch and snacks
• Review and reporting of any maintenance deficiencies
• Linen supplies and inventory
• Assistance with food and beverage service
• Spot checking and refreshing of all public areas
• Responding to client requests
• Assisting nurses in restocking clinic rooms throughout the day
• Checking and distributing incoming deliveries
• Clinic supplies and deliveries as needed
• Sterilization of equipment and medical supplies
• Disposal of clinic waste including medical/biohazard waste
• Preventive maintenance
• Coordinating with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
• All other tasks as assigned by Manager, Client Services.

The Requirements

• Full-time position and must be available assigned
• Prior hotel housekeeping experience in a 4-5 Star Hotel is an asset
• This is a part-time position and scheduled for 3 days a week between Monday-Saturday during the clinic hours of 6:00am-6:30pm.

Position Pay Range $17.49 - $24.05 CAD per hour Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
