Job summary

Altea Active is seeking a Facilities Associate to keep the club spaces spotless and well‑maintained. You will clean changerooms, washrooms, fitness areas, studios and recovery spaces to a premium standard, ensuring a welcoming environment for members.

You will work as part of a custodial team, address issues early, handle cleaning products safely under WHMIS, and follow safety and operational guidelines to support a high‑quality member experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, janitorial or cleaning roles.
• Comfortable in a large, active facility with physical shifts.
• Reliable, punctual and takes ownership of quality.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, renewed annually.
• Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the facility: changerooms, washrooms, fitness floor, studios, recovery areas, lobby, and spaces.
• Stay ahead of the club by addressing needs before they are noticed.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow WHMIS protocols.
• Work with the custodial team under supervision of the Team Lead.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Clean and Maintain the Facility. Changerooms, washrooms, fitness floor, studios, recovery areas, lobby, and common spaces. Every area, every shift, at the Altea standard.
• Stay Ahead of the Club. You move through the building with purpose, addressing what needs attention before a member notices it.
• Handle Chemicals and Equipment Safely. You use cleaning products correctly, follow WHMIS protocols, andoperateequipment with care on every shift.
• Work Within the Team. You take direction from the Team LeadFacilities Associateand contribute to a custodial team that keeps the whole club running at its best.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in a custodial, janitorial, or cleaning role is an asset. Full training will be provided
• Comfortable working in a large, active facility with pace and physical stamina throughout a full shift
• Reliable, punctual, and takes genuine ownership of the quality of their work
• Available for a mix of early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C,maintainedannually
• Criminal Background Checkrequiredprior to commencement
