Job summary

Mitrex is seeking a Facade Detailer to produce fabrication-ready shop drawings for solar façades and rainscreen systems across Mitrex and Cladify brands. You will translate design intent into drawings used by our factory and installers.

The role supports attachment systems, subframes, and electrical integration while ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specs and codes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in architectural technology or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years detailing in curtain wall, cladding, ACM, or metal fabrication; façade experience preferred.
• Fluency reading architectural and structural sets and envelope details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, panel layout and installation details from architectural/structural sets and field surveys.
• Detail attachment systems, subframing, flashings, copings, penetrations, and interfaces with adjacent trades.
• Generate fabrication tickets, cut lists, and BOMs coordinated with production, panel numbering, and shipping sequences.
• Process architect/consultant review comments and issue revisions with logs.
• Verify field dimensions against as-builts and flag discrepancies before fabrication release.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control per project.

Reports to: Engineering/Drafting Manager

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation: ~$65K–$100K (based experience)

Position Summary

We're looking for a Facades Detailer to produce fabrication‑ready shop drawings across both product lines — from solar façade panels on landmark projects to porcelain, ACM, and stone‑composite rainscreen systems. You'll turn design intent into drawings our factory and installers build from directly.

Job Responsibilities

Across Both Brands (Mitrex & Clarify)

• Prepare shop drawings, panel layout and optimization drawings, and installation details from architectural/structural sets and field surveys
• Detail attachment systems, subframing (Cladishield and related systems), flashings, copings, penetrations, and interfaces with adjacent trades
• Generate fabrication tickets, cut lists, and BOMs coordinated with production, panel numbering, and shipping sequences
• Process architect/consultant review comments and issue clouded revisions with clean revision logs
• Verify field dimensions against as-builts and flag discrepancies before fabrication release
• Maintain drawing registers and document control per project

Mitrex-Specific (BIPV)

• Detail electrical integration: junction box locations, wire routing, connector access, and string layouts per engineering direction
• Support drawings tied to certification and AHJ requirements (UL, IEC, ESA) — accuracy here is compliance-critical
• Contribute to high-profile projects, including North America's largest BIPV installation and Guinness World Record façades

Cladify-Specific (Rainscreen)

• Detail ventilated rainscreen assemblies, open- and closed-joint systems, and mixed-material elevations
• Coordinate panel modulation and joint patterns with architectural design intent while optimizing yield and fabrication efficiency

Qualifications

• Diploma in architectural technology, drafting, or structural technology (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years detailing in curtain wall, cladding, ACM, precast, or metal fabrication; façade experience strongly preferred
• Strong AutoCAD; Inventor, SolidWorks, or Revit an asset
• Fluency reading architectural and structural sets and envelope details
• Working knowledge of fabrication tolerances, thermal movement, and OBC/envelope fundamentals; solar or electrical drawing exposure a plus but not required — we'll train the BIPV layer
• Ability to run multiple concurrent projects to deadline with high accuracy
