Job summary

Westlake in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a fabrication associate to support production operations. You will review work orders, prepare heaters in bending, follow schedules, and ensure proper material handling and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand all work orders.
• Set up heaters in bending.
• Follow Production Schedule as outlined except in case of backorder.
• Identify and locate material by dimensional size and color.
• Apply correct packaging for finished parts.
• Visual check of parts for damage; report deficiencies to lead hand.
• Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools.
• Record number of pieces on completed work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

• Prior experience in Fabrication an asset
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
