Job summary

Propak Systems Ltd. in Airdrie, AB is seeking Labourers to join our fabrication shops. Candidates will be assessed for suitability toward apprenticeship training, with day, evening and weekend shifts and premiums for non-day hours.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years laborer experience related to oil & gas fabrication.
• Experience assisting pipefitters, welders, electricians, insulators, painters, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Experience with the use and maintenance of equipment or basic hand and power tools is an asset.
• Experience in warehousing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform general tasks related to maintenance and material handling.
• Transport materials and equipment manually or with powered equipment.
• Assist tradespersons and fabrication shop personnel.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Carry out warehousing, tool crib, or janitorial duties.
• Adhere to fabrication shop rules and safety guidelines.
• Transport materials and finished products throughout the plant.
