Work Schedule : Night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Summary

We are seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our team on the night shift. The role focuses on producing various rubber profiles from raw materials using microwave or heated saltwater curing processes.

Principle Accountabilities :

• Supervise and verify the quality of profiles.
• Ensure continuous and efficient entry of compound into the extruder.
• Verify that all dimensions are within specifications.
• Maintain the hardness of the profile within specified limits.
• Regularly check water levels in the cooling tank and ensure proper positioning on the hot air tunnel belt.
• Complete the Quality Control Extrusion Chart for each crate.
• Provide samples for the Q.C. Inspector and record on the appropriate form.
• Pack extruded profiles as instructed.
• Ensure printing and logos are accurate and conform to drawings.
• Document and record all necessary information.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervision to meet production goals.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Complexity & Judgement :

Handle quality issues, material and machine faults, and report them to the Shift Supervisor.

Contacts :

Occasional interaction with the Health & Safety Coordinator and Plant Manager. Daily interaction with the Shift Supervisor, Lead Hand, and Q.A. Inspector.

Working Conditions :

The incumbent spends nearly 100% of their time in the plant environment, involving light to moderate physical labor such as lifting, pulling, bending (less than 25 lbs), standing, and walking. There is frequent rotation every 3-4 hours from the feed-end to the take-off end of the line. Safety considerations include exposure to heat and sharp blades used for cutting rubber.
