Job summary

Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, is seeking a Professional Applicator to operate agricultural application equipment and support customers across Central Ontario. The role involves applying fertilizers and crop protection products, maintaining equipment, and completing required logs and inspections.

The ideal candidate has agriculture experience, a valid license, and a willingness to work extended hours in outdoor conditions. Excellent safety and customer service is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid DZ driver’s license or proof of safe driving history.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to read maps and work orders.
  • Agriculture experience is a MUST; applicator experience a plus.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and outdoors; lifting and climbing.
  • Current Ag Exterminator or Nutrient Technician license is a plus.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

If you love being outdoors and operating heavy equipment, then we can’t wait to talk to you! We are looking for a Professional Applicator that is eager to get behind the wheel and help our customers thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate agricultural application equipment, such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, etc.
  • Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Apply dry and liquid fertilizer and/or crop protection products.
  • Complete required paperwork, driver’s logs, and daily inspections.
  • Ensure application is made in a timely manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Normally requires a high school diploma.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (preferably class DZ), a driving abstract that represents a history of safe operation, as well as the ability to maintain insurability.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude with ability to problem solve.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to read maps, and work orders, as well as follow specific delivery directions and instructions.
  • Agriculture experience is a MUST.
  • Professional applicator experience an asset.
  • Willingness to work in Indoor/Outdoor working conditions with some lifting and climbing requirements.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak times.
  • A current Ag Exterminator License, and/or Nutrient Technician License would be a definite asset.
