Job summary

Elk Valley Resources in British Columbia is seeking motivated geoscience professionals to contribute to the 2027 exploration drilling projects at Sparwood and Elkford. You will support the planning, execution, and safety aligned with EVR's priorities, culture and values.

You will oversee field contractors, coordinate data collection and analysis, and support cross‑functional collaboration among Mine Operations, Engineering & Geology, Health & Safety, and Contractor Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related discipline.
• 3+ years geoscience experience in exploration.
• H2S Alive, BC Mine Supervisor, and First Aid certifications are required.
• Experience with RC/diamond/Sonic drilling in greenfield or brownfield sites.
• EGBC P.Geo./GIT eligibility or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Actively seek opportunities to recognize health and safety hazards and mitigate risks.
• Assist mine geologists with drill program planning, preparation, and logistics.
• Provide on-site project coordination and field supervision for drill site earthworks, drilling and sampling activities.
• Undertake contractor management and supervision with a daily site presence.
• Complete daily cost, productivity, and project status reporting.
• Liaise between Contractors and EVR representatives across Mine Operations, Engineering & Geology, Health & Safety, and Contractor Compliance.
• Manage collection and storage of drilling and sampling data in EVR’s geological database.
• Monitor field activities to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to program close-out and technical reports.
