Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking an Exploration Geologist for the Young-Davidson Mine area. You will lead geological data collection, interpretation, and support exploration programs in a dynamic, safety-conscious team.

With 5–10 years in mineral exploration and a geology degree (GIT/P.Geo eligible), you will contribute to modeling, planning, and continuous improvement while collaborating across departments and potentially working both on surface and underground settings.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in mineral exploration.
• Experience with core logging, sampling, and geological interpretation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology; registered or eligible for GIT or P.Geo.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and SQL databases is an asset.
• Passion for mineral exploration, gold deposit systems, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Geological Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, organize, and interpret geological data from drilling, field mapping, and sampling.
• Data Management & Best Practices: Ensure industry best practices for logging, sampling, and database management.
• Exploration Planning Support: Collaborate with senior geologists to interpret information and support programs.
• Geological Modeling: Contribute to deposit- and regional-scale modeling to support development.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Uphold safety, environmental, and operational standards.
