Job Overview

We are seeking freelance translators with proven experience in subtitling for the TV and Movie industry, translating from English into Canadian French.

Requirements

• High-quality translation and localization experience in the entertainment industry, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness
• Native Canadian French fluency
• Extensive knowledge of source language
• Proficiency in subtitling localization QC, translation, and Metadata localization
• Specialized in subtitling with a deep understanding of nuances, adhering to best practices for subtitles and dub audio creation
• Familiarity with closed captioning and its technical challenges
• Experience with subtitle editing software (EZTitles, OOONA) and web/cloud technology
• Proficiency in CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar platforms
• Ability to leverage CAT tools for efficiency, consistency, and team collaboration
• Attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
