WSP is seeking a Well Technician within Applied Solutions to support planning, installation, and maintenance of wells that power environmental remediation, groundwater management, and infrastructure projects across the region. Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a technician or drilling-support role.
  • Valid Well Technician Class 3 certification (or eligibility).
  • Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with the ability to operate heavy vehicles safely.
  • Experience documenting well construction and filling out well records per Reg. 903.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather and travel to remote sites.
  • Technical background such as rig maintenance or equivalent field experience.
  • Comfortable using tablets or laptops to complete digital field forms and daily summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service environmental monitoring wells following provincial standards.
  • Operate AZ/DZ licensed vehicles to transport drilling equipment and materials.
  • Assist with drilling, casing, grouting, and safe well construction.
  • Contribute to projects supporting groundwater and infrastructure development.
  • Maintain a safety-first work environment following company procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, hydrogeologists, and other technicians.

Your Impact
  • Install,andservice,environmentalmonitoring wellsin accordance withClass 3 well‑technician standards and provincial regulation903.
  • Operate AZ/DZ‑licensed vehicles to safely transport drilling equipment, materials, and tools to project locations.
  • Assistwith drilling, casing, grouting, and, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑performing well construction.
  • Contribute to projects supporting contaminated‑site remediation, water‑supply planning, and infrastructure development where wells andaccuratefield data are essential.
  • Maintain a safety‑first work environment by following WSP safety procedures,participatingin tailgate meetings, and using proper PPE.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, hydrogeologists, and fellow technicians to achieve project milestones.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Hands‑on experience inmonitoringwell construction, drilling, environmental fieldwork, groundwater, or related activities (typically 3+ years in a technician or drilling‑support role).
  • ValidWell Technician Class 3certification (or eligibility) in the province.
  • ValidAZ or DZ driver’s licence(or provincial equivalent) with the ability tooperateheavy vehicles safely.
  • Experience documenting well construction,filling out well recordsin accordance withReg. 903.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather, travel to remote project sites, and adapt to project‑driven schedules.
  • A technical background such asrig maintenance, or equivalent on‑the‑job field experience.
  • Comfortable using tablets or laptops to complete digital field forms, photo logs, and daily summaries.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$77,400 - $102,500

MB & ON:$70,600 - $97,200

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:$69,900 - $92,900
