Job summary

401 Group of Companies is seeking a Customer-Focused Service Advisor to be the friendly face of our Kingston service department. You will guide customers through a 5-star service experience from check-in to pick-up, building rapport and providing clear, accurate estimates.

Location: 2820 Princess St, Kingston ON. Compensation: Up to CAD 90,000 per year based on experience. Join a fast-paced, energetic team with opportunities for growth and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Minimum 1–2 years in a customer service role.
• Auto industry experience is an asset.
• Valid G driver's license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain auto services by listening to customers and inspecting vehicles.
• Verify warranty and service coverage by checking records.
• Develop estimates by costing materials and labor; calculate payments.
• Prepare repair orders with symptoms, problems, and required services.
• Maintain rapport by explaining estimates and securing approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of problems and actions planned.
• Update knowledge through education and manufacturer publications.
• Other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for a customer-focused, organized, and energetic Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team! As the first point of contact for service customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth, professional, and friendly experience from check-in to pick-up.

Location: 2820 Princess St, Kingston ON (Kia)

Compensation: Up to $90,000 per year depending on experience and performance

What You Will Be Doing:

• Ascertain auto services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying the description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labour; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
• Maintain accurate records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum 1 - 2 years in a customer service role
• Auto experience considered an asset
• Valid G Drivers License
• Able to work flexible hours within our business hours including Saturdays
