Job summary

Lakeside Garden Gallery is seeking a Horticulture Technician Associate to support Greenhouse, Annuals and Seasonal operations. You will help ensure orders from suppliers are received and displays are set up, merchandised and priced.

A strong focus on customer service and product knowledge is required. You will greet customers, answer queries, provide information on greenhouse products, annuals and seasonal plants, and maintain displays, signage and safety standards while collaborating with team

Qualifications

• Certified Horticulture Technician or enrollment in a Horticulture Technician program required.
• 1-2 year of garden centre, horticulture, landscape retail experiences recommended.
• Good organization skills. Able to manage time effectively.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages an asset.
• Positive and friendly attitude. Works well in a team environment.
• Good numeracy, organization and multitasking skills. Able to manage time effectively in a fast -paced environment.
• Flexible availability. Days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend and twist. Required to work outdoors, safety boots required.

Job description

The Horticulture Technician Associate is responsible for helping to oversee the Greenhouse/Annuals/Seasonal operations ensuring orders are accurately received from suppliers.Setting up displays, merchandising and pricing of products. In addition, you will provide a high level of service by greeting customers, answering queries; providing information and product knowledge on greenhouse products, annuals and seasonal plants.

WAGE: $18 - $22/hr
