Job description

Experienced Environmental Construction Project Manager

Join WSP in Canada as an Experienced Environmental Construction Project Manager. This role is based in Kitchener, Mississauga, Whitby, Barrie, Sudbury, Winnipeg, or other locations for the right candidate.

Our team manages diverse environmental and civil construction projects across Canada, including contaminated site remediation, heavy civil construction, mine closure, decommissioning, and demolition. You will oversee projects, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and work on significant local and national initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering environmental remediation, heavy civil construction, decommissioning, demolition, mining, marine, and ground improvement projects.
  2. Preparing proposals and presentations to secure new business.
  3. Estimating construction costs.
  4. Collaborating with the commercial team on scope development and procurement.
  5. Managing project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
  6. Resolving technical and constructability issues with project teams.
  7. Ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  8. Identifying new construction opportunities across Canada.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental or heavy civil construction management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, civil/environmental engineering, or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work remotely as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and project management skills.
