Job summary

Whistler Blackcomb is hiring an Experienced Bootfitter to assist guests with boot selection, fit and balancing at Whistler, BC. You will recommend products, fit demos, and manage equipment inventory while working to ensure customer satisfaction.

Experience in the ski industry is preferred. The role offers Winter Seasonal 2026/2027, with multiple benefits including employee ski passes and housing options where applicable.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• English fluency and excellent customer service are essential.
• Basic computer skills and ability to manage multiple customers and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with boot selection, fit, stance, balancing, and custom footbeds.
• Describe and promote products based on customers' needs and fit demo equipment.
• Perform inventory of demo equipment and maintain knowledge of boot products.
• Train and assist teammates as needed.
• Contribute to achieving sales goals and high levels of profitability in daily activities.
• Support other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting guests with boot selection, proper fit, stance, balancing, alignment and custom foot beds. Describes and promotes products in line with customers’ expressed needs. Places guests in properly fitting demo equipment. Conducts inventory of demo equipment. Demonstrates complete knowledge of ski boots, all aspects of foot function, and is able to perform all boot work. Functions independently with little or no guidance. Requires extensive experience, background, training and/or boot fitting certification. May train new and existing associate positions.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $23.75/hr - $26.57/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve customers by developing a rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting product through point of sale
• Properly identify customer riding ability, have a general understanding of basic foot identification and measurements (length, width, overall shape, size, etc.)
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and inventory to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers, teach as well as listen on all levels
• Responsible for increasing sales, units per transaction, transaction size and high levels of profitability in day-to-day activities and sales
• Serve as a resource and knowledge base for new and existing employees by providing support, training and feedback
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education: HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Relevant work experience within the ski industry - required
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple customers and projects at one time.
• Ability to manage and provide direction when necessary
• Average math skills
• Boot fitter Certification preferred
