Vail Resorts in Whistler, British Columbia, is hiring for the winter 2026/27 season in our retail stores. Our team delivers premium customer service and premium products while representing the Vail Resorts brand across outlets such as Can-Ski Westin, Base 2 Rentals, True North Fairmont, Four Seasons, and more.

Starting wage ranges from CAD 57,002.00 to 78,624.00 per year. This is a winter seasonal role with full-time hours and housing availability, plus health, dental, vision, and other plans

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; business education preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily retail operations, schedule and payroll, and act as manager-on-duty.
• Maintain store records, performance metrics, inventory and rentals.
• Hire and train staff on POS, product knowledge, guest service.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and direction.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate with leadership forums for feedback and continuous improvement.
• Support merchandising and rental activities as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations, monitoring performance and budget including scheduling and payroll; act as manager-on-duty in the absence of a Store Manager
• Maintain daily store records for performance, sales metrics, inventory control and equipment rentals (if applicable)
• Hire and train employees in POS system operation, product knowledge, guest service, sales techniques and loss prevention policies and procedures
• Monitor team performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or correction action if necessary
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and provide excellent customer service through timely response to customer questions, suggestions, complaints, and recognition
• Participate with leadership forums providing feedback and input on store performance, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned, including specialty areas like merchandising and rentals

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business area training or education preferred
• 1-3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitask and manage multiple customers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
