You will work with high-quality ingredients and fresh, local produce in a spacious, bright, and beautifully equipped commercial kitchen.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for an experienced baking or pastry professional who combines technical skill with organization, consistency, and creativity.

You will take ownership of daily production while having the freedom to contribute ideas, test recipes, and develop seasonal baked goods. Because we work with seasonal ingredients, our offerings evolve throughout the year.

We value thoughtful preparation, attention to detail, and genuine pride in every product we make.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and complete daily baking and pastry production.
  • Follow established recipes while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
  • Contribute ideas and develop seasonal products using fresh, local ingredients.
  • Monitor taste, texture, appearance, and overall product quality.
  • Use ingredients thoughtfully and help minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
  • Operate and care for professional baking tools and equipment.
  • Work independently while collaborating with the broader kitchen team.

The responsibilities of this position may evolve, and the successful candidate may be asked to support related bakery and kitchen duties based on operational needs.

What We Are Looking For

Previous professional baking or pastry experience is required. Several years of hands‑on experience are preferred, and highly experienced baking and pastry professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, restaurant, or similar environment.
  • Strong baking fundamentals and confidence producing baked goods from scratch.
  • Experience making pies and butter tarts, which is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent organization, time‑management, and production‑planning skills.
  • Consistent attention to taste, texture, detail, and presentation.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership, and contribute positively to a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, storage, and ingredient handling.
  • Reliability and availability to work full‑time according to production needs.
  • The ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with accommodation available as required.

Formal training in baking, pastry, or culinary arts is an asset but is not required. Demonstrated skill, professional experience, and pride in the craft are what matter most.

Why Join The Grove?
