Architecture49 is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Toronto team.

Responsibilities

  • Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s Statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
  • Validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations.
  • Provide technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Coordinating internal production teams.
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
  • Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
  • Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
  • 5+ years’ working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Experience working with Microstation is an asset.
  • Demonstrated substantial product knowledge, an ability to detail architectural building systems, and put together full drawing packages suitable for tender.
  • Excellent knowledge in building science and envelopes, as it relates to sustainability practices.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; Bluebeam.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
