Job summary

Pro Physio & Sport Medicine Centres Capital Sport, a Lifemark Health Group company, in Ottawa, is seeking an Exercise Assistant to support physiotherapists and help clients improve mobility in a busy clinic.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, facilitate exercise programs, and uphold safety and equipment integrity in daily patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient care.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assist physiotherapists with client care and therapy sessions.
• Utilize ultrasound equipment and guide exercise programs.
• Collaborate with clients to set functional goals.
• Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, manage inventory.

Qualifications:

• PTA/OTA diploma or Kinesiology degree preferred.
• Previous experience working within a clinic setting for 1-3 years would be an asset.
• Personal, friendly demeanor with excellent relationship-building skills.

Key functions and responsibilities:

• Assisting physiotherapists with client care; including the use of ultrasound equipment, exercise programs etc.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Maintenance and cleaning/sterilization of medical equipment
• Inventory of clinical supplies
