Job summary

Harbour House Hotel on Salt Spring Island, BC invites applications for an Executive Housekeeper. The role is permanent, full-time, with a 40-hour week and an $18.00 hourly wage.

The successful candidate will manage housekeeping operations and lead a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, English fluency and the ability to supervise 5–10 staff, maintain schedules, and coordinate laundry and dry-cleaning services

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience supervising a small to mid-sized housekeeping team.
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department.
• Plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews.
• Coordinate inspection of assigned areas and ensure quality standards.
• Schedule and assign duties for housekeeping staff; supervise 5–10 people.
• Coordinate in-house laundry, dry cleaning and valet services; manage supplies and equipment.
• Keep financial and inventory records and ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.

• The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational procedures for the housekeeping department.
