Job summary

Government of Nunavut is seeking an Executive Director, School Operations, to lead the Regional School Operations team and ensure safe, student-centered schools aligned with the Nunavut curriculum. You will guide strategic direction, oversee education program delivery, and manage stakeholder relationships across communities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education ideally with specialization in Education Administration.
• 5 years of elementary and/or secondary education administration/management experience (principal or regional office administrator).
• 2 years of experience as a senior manager (e.g., Superintendent of Schools).
• Equality of education and experience may be considered as an alternative.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and set direction for Regional School Operations.
• Ensure implementation of the Education Act and related applications.
• Support delivery of Nunavut’s Education Program including curriculum resources and student assessments.
• Support development of successful students through responsive student services for inclusive education.
• Contribute to setting the Department's strategic direction and priorities.
• Collaborate with District Education Authorities to ensure compliance with the Education Act.
